Vicki is a classically trained guitarist with experience playing classical, finger-style and jazz guitar. She has studied many guitar styles with the Berklee College of Music. Guitar students will learn to read music, play chords from memory and use proper technique. Students will explore all styles of playing and continue their studies within their preferred style of playing.

Vicki is a RCM Certified Piano Education Specialist and offers lessons for all ages. Students learn to read treble and bass clef, play the piano with proper technique and play many pieces at a mastery level. After exploring the many styles of piano music, students will continue their journey within their chosen genre.

Ukulele students will learn how to read music, play chords from memory with various strumming patterns and create chord progressions. We will also explore the techniques used to play the different styles of ukulele and how to play songs of the students choice.

Violin students will learn to read music, play with proper technique, care for their instrument and more. All students begin with classical lessons, after 6-8 months of lessons, students will be given the option to take fiddle or pop style lessons.

Percussion students will learn basic stick control, reading rhythms and learning rudiments to build up muscle memory. After building proficiency on the snare, students will work on developing hand/foot independence on the drum kit and learning various styles based on their interests, such as rock, funk or jazz drumming.

Acoustic guitar students will learn the fundamentals of guitar from how to hold the instrument, to how to play chords! Students will also learn theory and how to read music. We utilize several methods to find the perfect materials for each student based on level and goals. Students will need either a steel string acoustic guitar, or a nylon string (classical) guitar. We have instruments available for rent and purchase and we are always happy to answer your questions!
